  • Calling for Artists for Sunshine Cabaret :
We will be booking Sunshine Cabaret this month, and would like to seek suggestions from the local arts community.Sunshine Cabaret is a city funded initiative for supporting aspiring local musicians.

The DPA has a tent and a P.A. system, but artists must bring their own mics, cables, stands, etc.
There are four categories of entertainment:

Live @ Lunch : Weekdays in Nanaimo Square. 1.5 hr slot.
Art in Action: Saturdays in Nanaimo Square during the Community Market. Visual artists are being sought for this slot as well, as they will be paired with musicians for some live creations.
Gyro: Friday and Saturday nights throughout the summer. Big bands and big sound.
Sundays in the Park: We will be hosting intermittent acts at Skaha Beach for families, dates TBA as we assess the best times for artist exposure, etc.

We will begin filling slots next week, and hope to have the majority of the bookings done by the end of April. If you’re interested, or know of someone who may be, please contact me at the number below.
    Thanks!”
